100 Paintings 100 Days is an affordable series of original oil paintings and limited edition prints by Arielle Sandler. This series has been featured on several leading art and design websites, and one of the paintings has been acquired by a contemporary art museum.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
I am a painter in love with color and paint. My paintings have appeared in movies and TV shows as well as in publications such as The New York Times, New American Paintings, Apartment Therapy and Traditional Home magazine. WHY 100 PAINTINGS 100 DAYS?
I believe people should be able to afford real art if they want it. In 2007, I created my first group of 100 paintings as an affordable series to be released over the course of 100 days. My hope was to encourage the public to participate in the curation of these small paintings, as though the 6x6 inch canvases were building blocks of color and composition with which they, too, could play.
WHY LIMITED EDITION PRINTS?
The 2012 series includes exhibition quality prints in order to invite even more people to participate and play with color. While my largest oil paintings might be too expensive for some, carefully crafted prints from 100 Paintings 100 Days allow me to offer an affordable alternative.
ABOUT THE PRINTS
Each painting from the 2012 series has been professionally photographed in high resolution, matched for color accuracy on a calibrated monitor and proofed at a Digigraphie certified fine art lab using the finest pigment ink and paper. I was a part of this process from start to finish. The resulting giclées are hand signed and numbered in editions of 35 or fewer. In order to preserve the integrity of the series, sold out editions will not be reprinted. The three-dimensional surfaces of these small paintings have translated beautifully into two-dimensional prints. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!
